hello hello~

not been updating as i seldom on my laptop nowadays at night... come back home just zonk out man~

my photos are backdated all the way till september omg =p

anyway, i've been wanting to blog about my pulau ubin cycling trip with sis... hee, it was my 1st time there and i really like cycling there! quite relaxing =D

reached changi ferry terminal in the afternoon =D we had yummy nasi lemak and fried chicken hor fun for brunch before setting off to take the ferry!

the ferry was $2.50 1 way if i never remember wrongly

rented a bike for about 3 hours at $6

after cycling around, baby brought us to hike up this mini hill and the view was totally worth it! think the timing was just right to view the sunset beauuutifulll~

would love to go back to ubin again!

next up is meet up with nana and lianny at pump room! long time no see this girl!

virgin experience at 1 caramel... i loveee the cakes and tea there so much! great place! and i went back a 2nd time with su babe!

celebrated sis' birthday @ marina bay sands hotel last weekend, checked in on sat and stayed for 1 night!

ah bee and i went swimming at night, the nightview looks so awesome from the pool! it gives off a very different feel awww i really like it so much! they even have a dj blasting club music by the pool muahaha niceee~

went back to the room and waited for my family to come back from dinner before we head to the hotel's shopping mall for a walk!

finally went clubbing during sep... lol the last time i went was dec 2009!

my favourite zouk with lianny! had some cakes and tea at grand copthorne hotel before going in, the black forest cake very nice! and i really love the combination of hot tea and cakes, it's perfect ;)

bedok simpang's maggi goreng, very nice leh! and this was the night i drove out alone for the 1st time, felt a bit scary without my sis sitting beside me, but still got some cheap thrill! hehe more supper to come!

22nd sep was my last day at avago :( till date, i still miss those ex-colleagues, the long toilet walks and lunches with them... heh

to celebrate my last day of work which was a wednesday, we went for ladies night at butter factory ;) music was gooddd~

universal studios with sis on 1 sunday... it was johnson and johnson's family day and tix were free for staff and half-subsidised for family members teehee... though i had been there before, i did not get to try all the rides nor watch any of the shows so i decided to go again... but sadly, i still think it's nothing fantastic :(

got to try the water ride this time round (too long queue the 1st time i went and could not queue due to time constraints) my seat was sway sway the seat which kanna the water the most -_- fortunately, i had a poncho on haha but still drenched darn there was a pool of water on my lap lor after the splash zzz

daddy's birthday on the 29th sept and sis got him a cake! but it seems like it was kylie's birthday instead cause she keep posing with the cake and wanting to cut it lol!

didi joined in the celebration too! haha he's my cutie pie!

supposed to start new job on 27 sep monday but i fell sick on sunday itself, cui! and it's super sudden kind, sat i was ok, but sun i woke up jiu cui liao... haha so i took 2 days mc and started work on 29 sep instead... i should get best employee award liao, haven start work already mc sighz!

got some more sep pics in my camera, haven upload cause iggy is with bf... will update again when i get it from him :)

both of us took leave that day and we had dinner at dempsey... the venue was supposed to be a surprise until the taxi uncle let the cat out of the bag ._. i made him cover his ears while i tell the uncle where to go but after 5 mins, the uncle wanted to confirm the place with me again and blurted out everything sighz not fun X 2...

july was a "fast" month :) went to taiwan for 9 days with the parents and sis, it was super enjoyable but more on that in the next entry! when i came back, half the month is already over haha

teochew muay @ upper serangoon road after watching monga... i absolutely love teochew muay! by chance, we found this super yummy oyster omelette store, it is crispy on the outside, soft on the inside... totally sinful but worth it! best i ever had!

met up with su babe on friday who just came back from japan and she gave me japanese green tea mochi yay! =D we watched "date night" and it was hilarious! but at the same time, it made me even more skeptical about life after marriage yikez!

we went to toa payoh specially to hunt for nice food... settled for roasted meat rice at central... ordered too much la, stuffed max!

it's sunday tomorrow, too fast! :( anyway, my company is announcing restructuring decisions on tuesday, i secretly hope i am on the name list to get retrenched =x hur hur

baby picked me up at my workplace (something that he seldom do =p) and we headed to town for some shopping... he sneakily bought me 1 big bag of famous amos cookies while i was in the ladies, hehe i was pleasantly surprised... i <3 famous amos cookies, they are so sinfully yummy!

met lianny pie and dayne for dinner... it was great catching up =D love all the food we ordered at sushi tei!

10th April 2010 (Saturday)

saturday breakfast is now beoming a routine affair for jie and i hee :) we will go out have breakfast and then come back to take a nap =p been like this for the past 3-4 weeks already omg fatty max haha!

this week is bk breakfast yumz! after taking a nap, both of us headed to orchard with mum... had an early dinner at thai express before we did our nails and shopped around... the tom yum that day is really spicy T_T

i love the colour of my toes hee! gonna buy the polish online!

also bought new wedges at trois+inch... it is super pretty and comfy! <3 <3

came home to new online shopping loots in my mailbox heh! my humble review! pardon the messy bed and room cause we just came back =p

i am super in love with the mint colour, very very pretty colour in real life! my 1st mint dress teehee!

the wo cai show that night was SOOO funny can, i almost died laughing... the segment at the end whereby they did a makeover for short-haired girls to see if they are deemed to be prettier when they have long hair... they got 2 tomboys and the change was so funny! ahhh funniest episode ever!

11th April 2010 (Sunday)

went to the soka centre early morning for meeting, feeling fulfilled after the end of it :) had nice prawn mee for breakfast with sis and mum, but the downside is we queued half an hour for it =x

went swimming in the afternoon with baby and sis but i think the overall exercise effect is zero cause we had a feast during dinner at chinatown =x fish head, claypot rice, sambal sotong and the most ultimate sinful of all, 3 big durians =p

i hope no one is reading this right now, such a shame that my 1st entry after such a long hiatus has to be an emo one...

for the longest time, i had been stuck in this situation, i tried ways to get out of it but i can't. maybe i am incompetent enough, maybe i am just not capable of doing anything decent.

all i want is an opportunity to prove my worth... i tried plan A thrice and not even once did i succeed. i tried to go for plan B countless times since Aug/Sep 2009, but for the past half year, i did not even have the chance to execute plan B. what went wrong, i really dunno. i was disheartened, but i chose to carry on trying because i really believe, one day, my time to shine will come.

for the past 2 days, i tried to think positively so that i can have the strength to carry on, it worked. but just for 2 days. i was still patting myself on the back for the great effort put in. today, everything came crashing down again... all the walls i had painstakingly built up got destroyed in just that short moment. it hurts as much as having your heart broken; the dull ache in your heart, the tear streaks on one's face and the same helplessness...

i've learnt that i gotta fight this battle alone because no one else understands... yes, sad to say, not even you... maybe i can't blame you cause you really don't have the time... we had both underestimated the game of life, we both need more at the same time and yet we can't give more.

my decision right now is to shut you off for the time being with regards to my negativity, perhaps i will be back when i have the emotional capability to bring back positivity to your life :) this is the best isn't it, it's sorta like status quo whereby you have no time for my negativity so whether you know it or not, there will be not much difference... in return, you get to stay focused and perhaps it might help you 2 years later whereby you won't end up to be in the same situation as me now. i will miss you but i need to be strong for the sake of everything.

had a road trip to malacca with my family during the oct deepavali long weekend :) bro drove all 7 of us there hehe... we set off at around 6am and reached around 9am... caught some sleep in the car and i brought my smelly pillow along shiokness!

just reached...

after searching around, we finally found this coffee shop that sis wanted to bring us to for breakfast... the fried wantons are super heavenly... we ordered 2 rounds cause we just can't have enough of it! cheap and good breakfast!

next, we went shopping cause we can't check in to our guesthouse yet... there's very little cabs in malacca, everyone either travel around by car or bicycle... and so we were driving around constantly too, fun! cause i have all i need in the car hur hur...

love the architecture there!

and they have a newton food village too lol

mahkota shopping centre... they got my favourite malaysia shoe brand, vincci!!! :)

had durian chendol at san shu gong, OMG it is the BEST durian chendol i had ever tasted... reallyyy~

we then went to the famous eatery which was very near our guesthouse to get some nonya kueh for tea break... the kueh kueh, cookies and nonya cuisine here is absolutely the best according to my sis! and i gotta agree after having dinner there, it's sooo good! (pictures later)

so after buying the kueh, we walked around to explore the area... i really love the shophouses here, all so antique looking and full of perenakan flavour :*)

this is actually a peranakan museum... we went there for a tour the next day and there were people to explain to you the peranakans' lifestyle and their culture...

san shu gong! they are famous in malacca or rather malaysia for their local specialty products

we saw this fish pancake outside the shop and it looks quite good and we bought 1 box to try... it really taste as good as it looks... YUM! i went back for more the next day and bought 1 box to bring home =p

for dinner, we went back to nancy's kitchen again to try out the nonya cuisine :) so so so good! i love the babi ponteh there whee! it's like pork stew and the sauce is fantabulous!

there is also a stretch of pubs along the road and for that night, they had halloween decorations up though it's sorta early cause it's only mid-oct...

we went to this pub later on at night for drinks :)

the highlight of malacca is actually their daily night pasar malam at jonker street... they really sell all sorts of things and it stretches forever... we took a few hours to finish the whole stretch... all of us managed to buy stuff here and i really love the pasar malam to bits... it's super interesting but very crowded as well!

at malacca, all you can do is to keep eating and eating! hahaha... they have really nice authentic food here and i kept eating since morning lol... we bought lotsa pineapple tarts and kueh bangkit to bring back to sg too... and everything got finished by us within a few days haha!

ice kachang and asam laksa... i am not a fan of asam laksa but this is really good! thumbs up! this dessert and laksa shop have never-ending queue from morning to night... i witnessed it myself haha

the laksa place also has some wall decoration which were quite meaningful so i took pictures to share with you all :) i will translate it in english but pardon my loose translation =p

hmmm this entry is so late yet again =p it's already november...

went for our 1st beach vball competition on 4th oct which was also my sister's birthday teehee~

mama cooked and they came to join us for a picnic after our game :) my sis even bought sparkling juice for us haha

met up with su on a friday evening after work... love our pasta cafe dinner and starbucks! caught "love happens" after that at the cathay but we both fell asleep... :( i didn't like the movie but lianny finds it okay when she watched it recently...

checked out the new city square shopping mall at farrer park on a sat with kylie... they have sushi tei there but the food is not as good as the other outlets =x

and in oct alone, my sis and i bought like 5 pairs of shoes =x we totally have a shoe fetish! some pictures are below, 1 pair is missing though teehee~

sorry for the lack of updates recently, i just can't bring myself to blog =(

just gonna blog randomly on what i have been up to for aug and sep =p

movie date @ cathay:

supposed to go cycling before that (which explains why i was in a tank top) but we ended up watching a movie instead...

bumped into our jc classmates along the way... we also made a pit stop at the food centre... the chicken wings there were heavenly sighz~~~

after that, we had durian + koi bubble tea at parkway, shiok manz, i totally love koi bubble tea haha

met up with lianny wee on a friday night for dinner:

i was walking around kinokuniya while waiting for her to come and i finally bought "the time traveller's wife" :) boo i haven watch the movie yet!!! the book was not as good as what i had expected though, too high expectations =p

when she reached, we headed to sushi tei for dinner

we ordered a different type of sushi from what we usually order and it's quite nice! i am really a hardcore sushi tei addict =p

big fat strawberries that my sister got as a prezzie, they were uber sweet and so pretty to look at!

my office had a teambuilding event on 1 Sep and we went for a massage at fish spa at singapore flyer + buffet dinner at pan pacific hotel... the food spread was so-so nia~

clubbing with lianny before she flies off to aussie for her holiday:

we went to arena AGAIN~ haha my sister joined us but she went zirca with her friend in the end... arena's music nv fails to disappoint, i really like it there! we always cam-whore at the same place!

had dinner with the guys and jadey at harbourfront after sentosa 1 weekend... jadey recommended this restaurant which have set dinners going at just $7.80 - $9.80 nett! when we went there around 7 plus, there was no one else but us wahaha so we sorta had the whole restaurant to ourselves by just paying $9.80 =p

the set dinner consists of tea, rice, soup of the day, veggie, main course & dessert of the day... quite worth it :) we all ordered different dishes for sharing

late lunch at chinatown's far east square with my family:

we went to chinatown to buy a kite for kylie after that haha she love it! then baby and i made plans to go kite-flying too and we intend to steal kylie's kite =p

heading to town to get a new screen protector for my nds :) it was so shiny after that and i was so happy haha... cheap thrill at $4 only =p

after dinner at carl's jr, we went to watch a movie at my favourite cinema, the cathay! watched "the proposal" and it was quite funny, i enjoy sandra bullock's shows :)

going back to work last week was hard after the hari raya long weekend... i had sooo much fun over the weekend with my family and i am really happy cause of that :)

on saturday, sis drove mum and i to bedok 85 for dinner cause i had this constant craving for the bbq chicken wings there! =p we ordered 10 which we couldn't finish cause we still ordered other food =x too greedy!

after that, we drove to taka for the mooncake fest teehee~ i love durian mooncakes! went for some shopping at wisma before we headed to ion for swensen's ice cream mooncake, but it totally taste gross bleahz no more swensen's ice cream mooncake for me!

recently, i had an insane urge to learn roller blading and every week i will bug my sis to teach me but it was always postponed due to unforeseen circumstances... after numerous weeks, we finally decided to go blading and organize a family picnic at east coast park last last sunday since it's a long weekend... the weather was simply brilliant on sunday~

mum cooked lotsa food and we filled our icebox full with drinks yay~ bro drove us there and we managed to find a nice table under the shade though the park was rather crowded...

rented blades and my sister attempted to teach me how to blade haha... the boyfriend joined us after that too! and damn, he got the hang of it faster than me!!! not before long, he was cruising along the tracks like nobody's business HMPH!

my sister's legs looks like a stick compared to johnson's fat legs MUAHAHA =p

rented a bike also so that my dad can bring my mum and kylie around... it was so funny to see them cycling with kylie behind, it seriously made me smile :)

i attempted to ride on the tandem bike with my sis after that but as we are not realy familiar with the tandem bike, we had a bad fall or rather it was just me, she did not suffer any injuries at all but i was quite badly bruised =( i was so not prepared for the fall as the bike was too high and i can't put my feet on the ground to brake in time... i hurt my right knee quite badly on top of all other minor scratches here and there... up till now which is almost 2 weeks, i still have a big black bruise and scratches on my right knee sighz... i bruised my hip while blading too cause i fell sideways =( i was so accident prone that day haha so dumb but i still had fun!

in fact right now, baby and i are contemplating buying a pair of roller blades =p we had been skates-shopping and saw quite a few potential ones teehee *excited to go roller blading again with our new blades*

evening time came and we attempted kite-flying but the stupid kite was missing some stick and it wouldn't fly as it's unbalanced without the stick argh! failed attempt but we will most probably get a new kite soon hehe! fun! we were jumping around on the sand trying to get the kite to fly up LOL and someone totally missed his footing while running and rolled backwards into the sand HAHAHA omg my whole family was laughing so hard at him =D

headed home to wash up and boyfriend decided to catch a movie at the cathay for the later part of the night... watched "the ugly truth" and omg it was SOOO funny... i would say it's 1 of the better movies that i had watched recently, i enjoyed the show so much! it was the perfect ending to the day =D

as for the past weekend, went sentosa with the usual gang to play beach vball... we entered ourselves in a beach volleyball competition organized by ntuc hahaha! the competition will be at siloso beach this sunday and omg i am so unprepared, i am totally not up to standards la haha need to practice more manz... hope the week ahead will be exciting, will be real busy with giving tuition, driving lessons, outings and vball :) yay-ness!

met up with lianny on saturday... went shopping at orchard and she bought shoes again, that shoe freak =p went to lido to chill at night, ate mac shaker fries (i had cravings for it for the longest time) and drank starbucks, shiok!

had a great time catching up with her :)

the next day was national day... went to marina square to catch the fireworks :)))

then baby and i went to take a look at the national day exhibition held at marina square atrium

the day boyfriend turns 22! :)

was busy shopping for his prezzie and buying his cake on sunday, just 1 day before his birthday =p damn last minute i know haha... my sis accompanied me to shop around and i got lotsa things done within that few hours at city hall area haha...

rushed home, had dinner and took a shower before i cabbed down to his place... managed to reach before 12 midnight and be the 1st to wish him happy birthday =p

but it was not much of a surprise for him, cause i think he already guessed long ago that i will be up to no good hahaha... gave him a cake and a body shop tea tree set as a prelude to his birthday prezzies haha... i bought something else for him actually but i lied and said that the tea tree set is the only prezzie, he saw through my lie though -_- sighz not fun!

on his actual birthday, went over to his house to prepare for our date :) while on the cab to suntec, we cam-whored like mad hahaha

i had plans to watch the movie ice age 3 at 4.20pm but after much dilly dally-ing, we only got on a cab to suntec at 4 plus so obviously, we were too late for that haha... decided to switch to "the hangover" instead and i did not regret a single bit! the movie, though brainless, was damn hilarious and i enjoyed every moment of it! :)))

we still have some time for donuts and cam-whoring before the movie =p

after the movie, it's dinner time! :) something damn dumb happened though and i dunno to slap myself or "praise" myself haha... i meant to keep our dinner location a surprise but right before the movie, he was telling me he wanna take a full-body photo at esplanade cause there might be no chance to do so later... and without thinking, i just blurted out that we can take later after dinner at one fullerton GUA GUA GUA i really wanna slap myself... and he was totally laughing at my dumb-ness DAMN! i keep accusing him that he purposely trick me to divulge the dinner location haha

finally reached forlino @ one fullerton! my sister recommended this italian restaurant for the food and ambience so i decided to give it a try teehee

i placed a reservation for a window seat so that we can see the merlion and the skyscrapers around the area teehee~

we each had a serving of their complimentary dish, salmon and focaccia bread... the bread is damn nice omg soft and crispy~

next up is our appetizer, i love scallops! damn juicy and sweet... *salivates*

we ordered 2 main courses to share - veal shank ravioli with truffles and squid ink linguine... i very much prefer the ravioli, it is super good! tender beef stuffed inside the pasta, yumz yumz!

gave him another birthday prezzie after eating...

bought a shirt for him, my sister and i loveee it, she says it's nice when we went shopping the day before heh...

we got a complimentary birthday cake from the restaurant as well, so nice!

chatted and cam-whored awhile more before leaving at 10 plus...

my 4th time to hong kong! love to go there during summer for the summer sale hehe...

my sis went over first on the 4th before my mum and sis-in-law on the 9th and i was the last to join them hee...

i took a 7pm flight on thursday and still went to work before that haha it was a mad rush and fortunately, my brother was available to send me to the airport from my workplace...

was totally excited about taking a flight alone and thankfully, i had decent food and the personal entertainment to keep me occupied :) watched 2 movies and a concert by lady gaga haha... and there's also the ds to keep me busy as well, so it was a smooth ride over for me...

didn't had a hard time getting to town from the airport as i had taken the bus before during last year's trip... :) had a short but good sleep @ the hostel before i head to zhuhai via ferry the next morning to meet up with my family...

caught the 840am ferry and reached zhuhai by 10am... took a cab to the hotel to meet my family and off we went for breakfast!

the dim sum at the hotel was sooooo good! one of the best ever!

after breakfast, our next stop was to the famous gongbei underground shopping mall for some shopping!!! the place is just like far east with small shops everywhere selling bags, clothes and shoes... it's air-conditioned underground with 2 levels... there were so many lanes and junctions that one can get lost easily...

after shopping, went for massage nearby and i was so tired that i even fell asleep while massaging... and then we hired a van which drove us to the famous seafood street for dinner...

the concept is rather interesting, there will be a marketplace along the road whereby they will sell fresh live seafood... once u chose all the seafood that you want, you choose a restaurant on the other side of the road and they will cook the seafood exactly the way you want it...

the best thing is that it's cheap!!! the abalone below costs only RMB$7 which is like only SGD$1++ omg yumz cheap and good! it's really the best seafood feast ever~ we had abalone, scallops, fish, bamboo clams, 2 types of prawns, geoduck sashimi, fish soup, geoduck porridge etc and it only costs SGD$150+ for 7 people... super worth it!

went back to hong kong at night after dinner and it was more shopping and eating :)

my family went to lantau island the next morning and i did not join them as i had already been there before last year...

i spent the whole day shopping alone instead... went to h&m @ central and i had a blast there as there was a sale going on!!! haha... the store opens at 1030am and i spent a freaking 3 and a half hours there till 2pm lol... i was SGD$200 poorer by the time i was out of that store bahz! but the designs there are really nice and some items are super worth it with prices as low as HKD$50 whee!

next stop was causeway bay and before i knew it, it was evening time and i met up with my family once again... we went to eat wanton mee! and the shop is famous for its dessert - soya beancurd in red bean paste... yumz!

think we did more shopping at night before heading back to rest :)

went to TST the next day via bus...

was at giordano and kylie was the mannequin of the day =p

bought her some clothes and a new hat teehee

had dessert at sweet dynasty for tea break...

the soya beancurd in almond paste is so smooth, love it!

we were super happy that we got to take the new A380 carrier on our flight back :)

sis bought me a gift while she was there alone before i went over :) i mentioned once to her that i find the ferragamo hair clip super nice and she saw it at hk and bought it for me... so sweet of her lar!

it's never a good thing to send 4 women together to hk cause in the end, you get overweight luggages and lotsa clothes!

enjoyed this trip tremendously~ for all the shopping, great company and yummy food... had a good break from all the sianz things back in sg and came back refreshed and recharged :)

went shopping for lianny's birthday prezzie with the boyfriend... didn't know ion orchard had opened its doors 3 days ago, mountain turtle me! so, since it's newly opened, we went there to walk around and i saw lots of new brands! it's gonna be an awesome place to shop next time when every store is open :)

bought bff lianny's prezzie after much contemplation amongst all the choices we narrowed down... i love the prezzie i got for her =p (photos further down)

met up with lianny after work on friday for her birthday celebration part 1! :) her actual birthday was on the 27th but decided to celebrate early for her since it's the weekend!

treated her to dinner at ministry of food bugis... (while blogging this, i realized i ate jap food quite frequently in july haha)

and then it's prezzie time! really can't wait for her to open her prezzie teehee~ baby and i bought a watch from fossil for her... it was love at first sight okay when i saw the new series! i knew it will be perfect for her... there's 3 designs, love, peace and hope, in the series... love the intricate engravings on the watch face and i had a hard time choosing which one to get :)

brought kylie out together with the boyfriend to attend a gathering with my current colleagues... kylie was so shy that day and behaved so demurely, hahaha, very rare! we figured that it could be that she was around a lot of strangers that day...

went to orchard to meet my mum so that she can bring kylie home... had supper at ion orchard with the boyfriend before he send me to marina mandarin hotel for lianny's birthday celebration part 2!

theoretically, celebration part 2 was after 12 midnight so it's considered sunday... 1 of the girls happen to have a room at marina mandarin and so, 4 of us girls decided to stay there for the night to celebrate lianny's birthday :)

we had martinis at the hotel's lounge...

we started another round of drinking back at the hotel room... lianny was sabo-ed to go next door and get the guys to take a photo with her... we knew there were guys next door as we caught a glimpse through the open door when we walked past earlier on LOL and here's her scandalous photo... 1 of the guys was in a bath robe somemore, imagine i just crop off the other guy and tadah, u get the most scandalous photo of the year haha!

we had white wine, barcardi, hoegarden and vodka throughout the night and played truth or dare... the game was hilarious =p we had stupid dares and all the juicy gossip spilled out... drank till i got a bit tipsy by 6am but still sober enough to hop on a cab and head home to sleep lol... had such a good girlie night *grinz* lianny wee, did ya enjoyed it? =D

convocation day~ officially graduated yay :)

the ceremony was boring as expected but bo bian~

more photo-taking after the ceremony... i am not close to a lot of people and did not made a lot of friends in ntu but thanks to all who had made my uni days more interesting and entertaining... :) people like su, wen qing, candy, zhanyi, yoke peng and yiling... thanks for the friendship and keep in contact :)

baby bought the graduation bear for me, it's dressed in the same graduation robe colour (turquoise and orange for ntu business degree), super cute and looks dumb! it's freaking ex and i felt like we got ripped but this kind of thing is like once in a lifetime so he still bought it haha~ thanks baby~ we named the bear "uno" and i really treasure it... :) partly cause it is from the boyfriend and also because of the significance behind the bear...

headed to the reception area for refreshments and took 2 more pics with my parents before we left... many thanks to them for their love for the past 21 years...

and also thanks to baby who came for the ceremony and be my "camera man", i appreciate it :) your turn will come 3 years later teehee!

my parents went JB after that with my sis-in-law for shopping while baby and i went back to my house to sleep after a long day haha... had our dinner at tampines 1 kim gary's after some rest...

last saturday was the 1st day of august 2009 and also our 43rd month-niversary hee... we had a durian party =p had dinner at chinatown with his parents before we headed to the market for durian... haha the pics are so unglam!

oops ever since i came back from my hk trip, i haven been blogging for nearly a month... i will try to get an entry up by this weekend as soon as i get the camera and memory card back from the bf, passed it to him on monday and forgot to get it from him just now when i met him :( ARGHS and of all times, i feel like blogging NOW when i have no photos to upload yet haha...

spent friday night with lianny wee! we went for a nice and filling dinner + movie... it's been rather long since we watched a movie together, just the 2 of us :)

1 of my colleagues left on 3rd july... we had a farewell dinner for her on 30th june at hei sushi which is the halal sister branch of sakae sushi teehee... food was like sakae's standard so still not too bad...

went clubbing with lianny and nana after a 2 months hiatus... yippie yip yip~ we went to arena and music was goooddd~ arena is now slowly becoming my favourite club instead of zouk teehee... partly cause i have not been to zouk for a long time and the last few times i went, the music was disappointing =p we cam-whored a lot and here are the photos!

july is almost here! and it's gonna be an exciting month ahead hehe...

looking forward to my hk trip!

and my family + me are in the midst of a major project :) if nothing goes wrong, it should be done by end july... i will reveal more with pictures during month end! =D

another thing is from july onwards, my fyp mate will be working in the same department with me as 1 of my colleagues tendered her resignation recently and i referred my friend for the job which she successfully passed the interview teehee... yay one more lunch kaki and we can take the bus together to work cause we live near each other yippie~ plus i get a referral fee so double yay~ haha... can't wait for her to join the company this coming thursday!

now that i think about it, i have a busy busy week ahead! gotta collect my passport cause mine had expired and run other miscellaneous errands... bahz i am so tired everyday cause there seemed to be never-ending tasks to do both at work and at home...

been meeting him very little recently cause he's been busy... i only see him once fortnightly or sometimes just once in 3 weeks... sometimes, felt that it is unfair of him to treat me like this cause he didn't manage to handle some things well... communication and respect for each other is important but it seems to be lacking recently... not just on his part but perhaps on my part as well cause sometimes i just can't be bothered anymore...

it's sad that it had to come to this stage but we are trying to work things out now so see how it goes ba~

though it is very hard at times when i needed him, but i am thankful that i still have my friends and family with me all these while... been meeting up frequently with lianny pie and i love our girlie time together :) i am spending more time during weekends with my family as well especially with my sister and mummy heh :)

oh well, i gotta end abruptly cause i need to sleep right NOW lol tata~

some updates for the past few weeks...

i found a job in may and had been working for 1 month so far... very tired after work everyday and i will concuss before 12 midnight and that's saying quite something since i had always been a night owl lol...

on a happy note, 2 weeks ago, i booked myself on a flight to hong kong this coming july... it was a totally last minute decision =p i wasn't planning on going for a holiday but the SQ deal was too attractive to give up, the tix only costs $298!

i will be flying there alone and i am terribly excited about it heh... my trip is about 2 weeks away and gosh, i am already starting to count down :))) i'm gonna shop till i drop at the summer sale there whee~

back to blogging :) haven been updating much recently for i had been busy watching dramas online hur hur... i was first addicted to this taiwanese drama:

and then now i am addicted to the korean drama - boys over flower whee~ THIS SHOW IS DAMN NICE! the korean version is much better than the taiwan meteor rain version! the korean F4 is like much more handsome also teehee~

and i am still in the midst of watching them now =p

while blogging, i found a common theme for the photos of this post: "day and night" haha 2 different time on the same day, 2 different activities :)

3rd may - sunny day at sentosa! there could had been 8 of us but lianny couldn't come in the end :( but she did joined us for dinner

my sis and mum brought kylie over to find me in the afternoon and i had a great time playing at the beach with kylie :) she is uber cute that day! but boo forgot to take pictures!

we went to town to watch the movie "17 again" as we got free passes... the movie was not too bad i guess... not too serious and don't need to think too much while watching...

i was craving for western food and so, we headed to hougang for the famous western stall heez~ it was my 1st time trying their fish & chips and i am officially hooked!!! it's the best fish & chips ever at $5.50 hur hur

after much procrastination over the past few months, we finally went cycling last thursday hehe...

we were just in time for the sunset at bedok jetty! whee!!! and here are some of the nicer pictures... gotta QC cause we took too many hee

after some exercising, it was time for partying on friday heh~

baby & friends + lianny & i wanted to try butter factory but after queuing for like 1 and a half hours, we are still outside and the queue is not moving much, GAH!!! so in the end, we switched venues~ the guys went to dbl o to meet their galfriends while lianny and i went to arena to look for her friends there...

there was a large group of people but i only took photos with the 3 girls haha... lianny doesn't likes me, purposely block out my face and ostracize me lol~ to think i was still smiling for the photo so happily HAHA

and she got weird fetish that day and kept touching our faces while taking photos lol, i find it damn funny when i came back and look at the photos...

the music at arena was very good that night, love it!

and i am kinda sleepy now! i spent a long time on this entry cause i am trying out a new photo hosting webby and i keep doing it wrongly! all these photos were like uploaded, deleted and re-uploaded for at least 5 times... = wasted a lot of my time when i could be watching boys over flowers HAHAHA tata~

3rd April (Friday)

finally met up with lianny!!!!!! we had been so busy recently! i wanted to eat crystal jade la mian but it was too crowded so lianny suggested ajisen!

i tried the tom yam ramen and it was okay but i still prefer the milky soup base!

during dinner, we VERY randomly decided to go phuture haha! i didn't want to go intially as i have a 2000 word essay due on saturday and i am still left with 500 words... but, the gian feeling came while we were having dinner and we decided to go even though it was very last minute =p totally not very nicely dressed for it or had much makeup on but haiya we heck care already hehe

took a cab down from taka and we managed to get free entry yippie~

after getting our precious chop, we went to great world city for ben & jerry's ice creammm~ 3 scoops of goodness: chunky monkey, cherry garcia and mint chocolate chunk y-u-m-z! i am really a sucker for ice cream!

coincidentally, baby and zhiyi went phuture too that night and the 4 of us met up and had drinks together at velvet =D played guessing games and it was SO funny la!!!

danced the night away till the club closes! dead tired after that but still chatted with him over the phone before drifting off to sleep at 6am... it's been 2 months since lianny and i went clubbing, we are good girls righty? =p

4th April (Saturday)

he came over to my house in the afternoon and he studied while i tried to finish my essay... went for dinner together with his parents at chinatown after i am done with my essay... and then it was movie time at the cathay!!!!! we booked tix for the shopaholic movie and i enjoyed it to the max!!! i love the show, it's so funny and yet touching at some parts... and to top it off, there were plenty of pretty shopping loots whee!

baby and i went on food hunts at random places during the week :)

1st stop - Blk 201 Tampines 21

went for a haircut on wednesday before meeting him at bedok library for some studying...

he used his webcam and video-called me on msn even though i was just sitting right beside him -_-

wanted to eat zi char for dinner and we just took a feeder bus randomly from tampines interchange to the neighbourhood area... found a zi char stall at a kopitiam :)

sweet & sour pork... 1 of my all-time favourite dish!

2nd stop - Hong Lim Food Centre

was reading some food reviews online and decided to head to Hong Lim on friday!

1. Curry Chicken Cutlet Noodle - $3

the food portion was hugeee manz... the chicken cutlet is BIG

the chicken cutlet had been marinated with prawn paste beforehand and fried till very crispy! so if u like prawn paste chicken, i am sure u will like this :) the curry is very flavourful as well and t-h-i-c-k... sighz i am drooling already as i am typing this hahaha

2. Raisin Cream Cheese Bun - $1.30 each

this bakery is just beside the food centre and when we went there, there was a queue of about 5 people... we waited for around 10 mins before it's our turn... the people in front of us were buying in dozens -_- but we were lucky enough to get the last batch of freshly baked buns straight from the oven *grinz* bought 5 of them!

it was raining as we were walking to raffles mrt... while waiting for the traffic light under shelter, we can't help but try the hot piping bun... *SIGHZ* it was the best everrr~~~ the bun was soft and warm, the cream cheese inside will practically melt in your mouth... can u imagine eating it in the rain, during the cold weather? it was 1 of the shiokest thing ever, i swear :)))

there was a converse basketball 3 point challenge event at parco, baby just participate for fun and won a 1-for-1 movie pass... :)

on a random note, i am currently hopelessly addicted to my nintendo ds =x i downloaded new games that day and had been playing non-stop ever since, they are sooooo addictive! yay to new ds games! :) and as i am blogging right now, i am already thinking of what game to play after this hahaha...

hello all!

i had a pretty gooddd monday... it was fyp submission day and everything went so smoothly... went to school in the afternoon to print our report at the library... gosh, have to print 3 copies and each copy costs us around $12 including binding :(

finally got everything done and went to meet our prof in his office at 3pm... he seems happy with our work :)

went to orchard after that to pass the 3rd copy to our project company + celebrate!

the lady below is the assistant GM of our project company, we passed her the hardcopy and had a short chat with her... she's been really nice to us ever since the start of the project collaboration :)

after the meeting, 3 of us took a bus to plaza sing and went to xin wang hk cafe for our celebration dinner :) only have pic of 1 of my group mate hahaha... we had a long chat at the cafe over drinks and food!

walked around after the satisfying dinner and i bought lotsa biscuits from marks & spencer... i really love their chocolate digestive biscuits teehee! today was one of the best mondays for 2009 :)

met up with su in town at 6pm for shopping and dinner

far east was our 1st stop! bought a bag here, i <3 it to the max! will take photos of it next time!

we passed by tangs and m.a.c was having a roadshow for its new hello kitty collection... the backdrop was pretty! and of course not forgetting mr meow / mr hello kitty (private joke with su) HAHA they were giving out free hello kitty balloons and i got one for my niece cause she love balloons and hello kitty :)

look at the crowd! we thought this was a very clever marketing tactic :)

went for dinner at ajisen and mr bf joined us

went home shortly after dinner... it was an enjoyable day out :)

it's that time of the year again, valentine's day haha

it's our 4th one together and i am very thankful that he had walked into my life, accompanying me through all the happy and sad times... it was great having him as a best friend and boyfriend rolled into one :)

he came over to my house in the afternoon and waited patiently for me to get ready =x

i have no idea at all beforehand on where is he bringing me to and what is he planning for the day... just 3 days before v day, he gave me daily hints (which are totally useless by the way haha) and left me guessing everyday... haa he claims that it's 情趣 -_- but he drives me crazy la with his non-existent hints, i was dying to knowww by saturday

wednesday's hint: "our favourite type of food" --> i can guess this one but there are like so many japanese restaurants around -_-
thursday's hint: "somewhere that we had never went before and it's a new concept" --> totally no idea what he is talking about
friday's hint: "we are meeting for dinner!"

how useful are the hints mannnnn haha

eventually, on this day itself, he gave me more obvious hints and i finally guessed the place! we are going to chijmes! i was pretty looking forward to it cause as suaku as i might sound, i had never went there before and i think it will be a beautiful place to dine in :) hee

we found the japanese restaurant that he had made a reservation for quite quickly through pure luck =p it was quite classy and spacious inside :) and i love the big plushy cushions on the seats!

ebi unagi crunch roll (this was not bad but we both think sushi tei's phoenix roll is still the best)

he took this unglam pic of me cause i just stuffed the whole rice roll into my mouth HAHA i love doing that cause eating the unagi, ebi and rice separately just makes the whole thing taste different and less yummy =p

terriyaki chicken hot pot rice, it's like the japanese version of claypot rice! and there's even a cute little timer which comes with it to indicate the time that the lid should be kept closed while the rice and chicken is being cooked further :) the metal pot was freaking hot and i knew that for a fact cause he tested it with his own finger LOL

the food was quite good here and the only regret i have is that we didn't have time to try the signature dessert - tofu cheesecake :( because we will be late for our movie if we order dessert =p

it was still quite bright when we just reached :)

when we were done with dinner, it was already quite dark outside and i love the different feel of the place during day and night :) somehow, the place reminds me of macau :)

rushed to plaza sing from chijmes to catch the benjamin button movie... it's a beautiful movie albeit being a bit draggy sometimes but overall quite good :)

the movie was a freaking 166 mins and by the time we were done, it was 11pm =x he was planning to have dessert after the movie at esplanade's haagen dazs but i thought that it would had been closed already... nevertheless, we still decided to go to esplanade for fun... so, we bought a drink from starbucks and walked to esplanade from plaza sing =x it didn't felt like a really long walk to me or perhaps time just pass by faster when you have companionship... :)

along the way, we passed by chijmes again and i suggested taking photos cause we were too rushed to do that during dinner just now :) we had fun here as we tried to camwhore and squeeze ourselves in without covering the chijmes logo haha... these are the more successful attempts =p

headed to gluttons' bay for supper when we reached that area... after filling our stomach, we sat by the esplanade riverfront and chatted for awhile before heading home :)

my mum's birthday falls on valentine's day :) may she be happy and healthy always!

anyway, it was quite funny just now... for the past 1 week, i had been asking my mum everyday whether we will be celebrating her birthday by having dinner together on sat night, then she say no... so my fat bf (my new nick for him!) went ahead and booked a place for dinner on v day thinking that we will be free...

on friday night, my bro suddenly say wanna go eat on sat and celebrate my mum's birthday... when i told my fat bf, he straightaway got my mum on the phone and asked her for permission to "borrow" me for v day night and have dinner with him instead hahaha omg their conversation was hilarious...

he even promised my mum that we 2 will bring her to go eat another day and the disturbing thing (to me) is my mum was so charmed off her socks by him that she was smiling and laughing loudly throughout the phone conversation and she happily agreed...

first kylie and now my mum, my fat bf is evil! =x

on cny day 3 (when all the shops resume business), i sent my htc touch for repairs at the service centre hoping that it wun cost me a bomb to fix due to the water spillage :(

dearie came from school and when we reached, there was a long queue! (maybe alot of people spoil their phones during cny too =p) went to grab a bite at vivo carl's jr. after getting a queue number...

my huge ass carl's jr. burger! it's like bigger than my face haha

went back to the service centre after that and waited for another 15 minutes before it's our turn! but i love htc's after-service as they have a htc courier service to send your phone to your doorstep once it's repaired so that you don't need to trouble yourself to go down to the service centre again to collect it! *thumbs up* it took them about 5 working days to send my phone back and i dun need to pay a single cent YAY

31st Jan 2009 (Saturday)

went to bee's house to bai nian in the afternoon before he came to mine... some of my relatives were at my house when he came over, it's the 1st time they saw him and he wore such a bright-coloured shirt la! we are like the "fruity" couple, i am a banana and he is an orange hehe!

had a mini cny gathering right after that at my house with the esp guys, jadey, becky and lianny - eat, wii, monopoly and gamble! but we forgot to take photos :(

mahjong and blackjack hehehe, i got triple 7 for the 1st time in my life!!!!!! yay-ness! and sorry to the banker (zhiyi) hehe

we also gathered in front of my tv and watched the okto program: "score" as baby and i are on it :)))

went to connie's housewarming in the morning with lianny!

left around noon and we headed to lianny's office before heading to sentosa to meet the guys... was changing at the toilet and we cam-whored cause we were in red and pink tops to kickstart our 1st beach volleyball session at sentosa for the moo moo year! =D

had our dinner at kim gary's after playing volleyball... all our feet were aching so badly from all the walking and running around :(

met up with the sem 1 uni mates for lunch at taka's sushi tei to celebrate both zhanyi and wen qing's birthdays =D i was late as usual, sorry guys for making u all wait!

after lunch, we went to mos burger for a chit-chat! wen qing left first and the rest of us went to walk around town while i waited for lianny :)

lianny came around evening time and both of us went last minute shopping for cny clothes! we combed far east till 8 plus before heading for dinner at wheelock's big-o! this gotta be 1 of my favourite restaurants! the food is so good!

my family had our reunion dinner 1 day early as my sis needs to be at her mother-in-law's house for dinner on the actual cny eve... my mum invited bee over as well cause she say long time never see him haa

my sister-in-law made the 算盘子 from scratch & mum made the 佛跳墙 herself

the 4 guys in the household (dad, bro, bro-in-law and mr bf) played mahjong together after that and my sway bf lost $80 haha... his tiles for every game was the worst ever and whatever tile he threw out, he will get it back after one turn haha, sway anot u tell me, i bet u all are laughing at him now lol

25th Jan 2009 (Sunday) - CNY Eve

went to city plaza in the afternoon with mum and sis for some seriously last minute cny shopping =p i brought them to eat at the famous arnold's chicken there... YUMZ!

rested at home after that before heading to chinatown for the countdown with him... it's slowly becoming a tradition for us every year!

we reached around 9 plus and we keep buying food along the streets and ate all the way till midnight lol... german sausages, taiwan sausages, grilled cuttlefish, japanese pizza, fruit juice and dessert! oh and we kope alot of the taiwanese jellies from all the different stalls and gobbled them up on the spot HAHA, they are our favourite every cny! we meant to buy them afterwards but just wanna kope some to eat first =p

ang moh selling german sausages! we visit him every cny eve as the sausages are quite good!

soon, it was midnight and there were fireworks and firecrackers :)

we stayed behind to get our jellies and some cny goodies before heading home :)

26th Jan 2009 (Monday) - CNY 初一

went to my grandmother's house and kylie was like the star of the day... everyone was ooh-ing and ahh-ing over her vietnamese traditional costume... played blackjack with my relatives as well and i won $20!

was totally sian at home after that cause i had nothing to do the whole night and nobody was at home sighz... and on top of the sian-ness, i dropped my phone in a cup of water and it couldn't be switched on :((( argh bad cny day 1, was in a totally shitty mood!

27th Jan 2009 (Tuesday) - CNY 初二

went house visiting at ck and cr's house... cam-whored at the lift lobby =p and i am wearing the f21 bandage top bought last friday =p

the new Viper court system had arrived from the US yay and it's the 1st time we (or rather the guys haha) are setting it up... after some hammering, tugging and pulling, it's finally done! :)

went sentosa again! i think our weekly sessions are back yippie~ lianny was supposed to come lor but she had cramps in the morning :( it was not as fun without her!

siloso beach was darn crowded as there's some safra beach competition going on! got soccer and beach vball heh! the music they blasted was damn good, all the clubbing songs =p saw my primary school friend there and we shifted to tanjong beach after that to play with her friends! lianny, i missed u la!

went to carl's jr. for dinner after that and discussed about the outdoor net that the guys had bought from usa... yippie we will have our own volleyball net by next week, it feels so exciting! :)))

shopped around vivo after that as i was hunting for cny clothes... bought a very nice little black dress from river island, it was love at 1st sight la and bee bee likes it too =p it is on 50% discount but still rather ex at $60 sighz... but well, i better make sure i wear the dress often so that it will be worth the money haa...

11th Dec 2009 (Sunday)

went to his house in the afternoon and played some lame computer games, we were busy building some virtual hospital hahaha

he gave me this key chain, cute right! got boy boy and girl girl!

movie outing with bee, jadey, cr, chow zhiyi and lianny at the cathay in the evening! most of us watched red cliff 2 while lianny watched bolt 3D at a similar timing... i love red cliff 2!!! fire bombs whee! go watch! =D and i think 诸葛亮 and 周瑜 are damn smart la! their plans are so devious! hur hur, there's alot of funny parts in the show, highly entertaining! glad that they made the sequel equally good, i enjoyed red cliff 1 tremendously back then!

after the movie, all of us went for a late late dinner at ajisen! the food standards really dropped alot :(

the guys were sending lianny and i home when bee bee suddenly had the idea to go for supper at punggol nasi lemak :))) so, we alighted at kovan and walked to the coffeeshop...

i loveee the chicken wings there, it's bloody nice la! after nasi lemak and dim sum, we still went to selegie bean curd that was just opposite the road =p full like dog and we just shared a cab home as it was past midnight already...

while going home, 4 of us realized that we had unknowingly completed 1 task in our list-of-10-things-to-do-in-2009 and that is task no.2: movie + punggol nasi lemak supper... hahaha!

we formulated this list together last week while we were having dinner after sentosa and we were all so excited about it... didn't expect that we will complete 1 of it so soon and with no pre-planning involved =p have updated the list on the left hand side of this blog, u guys can go take a look at what other tasks we have ahead in the next 11 months =D

it was a fun fun sunday!

but another week is starting :( as much as i hate school, i will be a good girl and try to go for lessons every week :)

hahaha JUST K-I-D-D-I-N-G =D

we just went for a shoot that needs us to act as a wedding couple taking wedding pics at the national museum heh... and it will be showing on okto channel which is really exciting for us!

at the office / house whereby we got our hair styled, makeup applied and fitting done by the stylist :) breakfast and transport was even provided, shioky pie!

the museum is a nice place for taking wedding photos! but unfortunately, under normal circumstances, wedding photoshoots are not allowed here :(

and after this series of wedding shots, we are supposed to act in some other scenes... and we think our acting really suck, cannot make it! lol i was supposed to act pissed but i ended up laughing cause the scene is too funny

it was a fun fun experience for us! thanks to bee bee's friend who got us this well-paid lobang :)

went sentosa on a sunny saturday :)

the guys were playing a game with some others at the beach, we took photos of them using the continuous shot function hehe

can u see the ball in the next 3 pics? =D

and chow sends it over hehe

us girls were taking a rest and camwhoring using the continuous shot function =p these are the UNGLAM ones

and these are the ones with nicer poses hahaha

beach vball was funnn that day and we played till 7 plus before bathing :)

and then we asked bee bee to try out the continuous shots function and turned out that he is better at it than us! =x

brought kylie out the next day! when she sees this at suntec, she straightaway requested for a photo with it hahaha i think she will grow up to be a camwhore too =p she looks grumpy cause she had been walking a lot the whole afternoon and i think she's tired =x

brought her to chinatown as well and took a photo with the ox :)

purpose of the day was cny clothes hunting but didn't get any good finds!

and isn't she cute here? vain her went to my cupboard and stole my shades!
