hiyaz diary...
went to hong kong on 17th july... came back on 21st july... this time round is my second time to hong kong but it is way way way more enjoyable than the first one... hehe... cause first time go is during winter then cold and nothing much to buy... then never visit those major tourist attractions also during that time...
17th July 2006 Monday (Day 1) woke up around 3 plus in the morning and then sis-in-law drove me to airport and she left... went meet my sis they all and check in... taking the 6 plus flight in the morning... went eat breakfast first at the airport and then bought magazine... hehe... cleo is my favourite magazine!
board the plane le and i managed to catch some sleep though it's quite minimal... after that spent the time eating and reading mag... hehe...
after that we took the airport express to the city area...
after checking in at the hotel around 12, we went out for lunch... went to eat at this cafe there... their steak is good manz! super tasty and cheap... our hotel
then next is shopping at the ladies market area and this shopping centre called argyle centre... it's like singapore's far east and the things there are cheap and fashionable... every floor got so many stores that we feel overwhelmed by just looking at them...
went back hotel and went to the peak around 6...

we left and went for dinner at this old old chinese restaurant around central... the duck there is delicious! went to lan kwai fong to see see the night life there...
then took the star ferry back to kowloon island tsim tsa shui... the night scenery is damn pretty but my photos dun really do it justice...

back to hotel and found that they have my date with a vampire 3 showing! hee... so watched till 1 am then sleep!18th July 2006 Tuesday (Day 2)
went for dim sum breakfast at this restaurant called serenade at tsim tsa shui... the custard bun is power manz! the mango pudding is very pretty too...

this place is actually the same as the night viewing place the night before... hehe looks so different ya... =)

then took the mtr to lai chi kok where all the industrial wholesale parks are... there are so many shops selling all kinds of clothes there that we just feel giddy by looking at them...

after that, we went to tung chung where all the warehouses are... got nike, adidas, esprit, giordano, u2 and alot la... alot sales going on there... wootz~
around 4 plus tired le so we went to have high tea dim sum this time round... the dessert is very yummy!

after that, they went back to hotel first while sister and i continued shopping at tsing yi shopping centre followed by yau ma tei and lastly argyle centre cause we didn't managed to finish shopping at argyle centre the day before... went to prince edward for more shopping and meet the rest for dinner there... had a very late dinner around 10 plus at a shop selling porridge... i tried the black sesame paste and hum chim peng... tastes the best! went back hotel after that watch vampire show again... hehe!
19th July 2006 Wednesday (Day 3)
wanton mee for breakfast at causeway bay! hee nice nice... noodles q q one! wanton also big with prawns... whee but i forgot take photo =x they have a signature dessert called red white whereby it's red bean paste with sweet soya beancurd and sago... their soya beancurd is damn smooth! singapore's beancurd mostly is sweetened by syrup with their beancurd plain but over there, their beancurd itself is already sweetened without use of syrup! dunno why i am very fascinated at that fact hehe~
next we went to ocean park... bad choice cause super hot! became roasted pig! hot hot hot and we keep getting lost there so have to walk a lot around... super sianz... all the rides long queue also... wait in line under the sun is horrible so basically we only took the ferris wheel... and watched those dolphin shows and shark aquarium... we went to this place called atoll reef also... all fishes la so i really not very interested! but the dolphin and sealion show is super nice! they are so smart and adorable!

then we went to sit on the ferris wheel and took some pictures...
around 6 plus we wanted to take the cable car down to the lower land but the queue is atrocious! so we took the shuttle bus down there instead... went there to catch some carribean show and then went back to the hotel le...
around 9 plus, we took a cab to jordan and ate our dinner there at this chinese restaurant... i like the roasted goose! yummy! =) then we went temple street shopping till 11 plus and then took a cab back to hotel... watched the vampire show again!
20th July 2006 Thursday (Day 4)
breakfast at mongkok at those cafe that's very common in hk with sis only cause we are heading to disneyland today while the rest are going to shenzhen... this particular cafe's food was super oily though... then i saw this plate of pineapple buns (bo luo pao) lying secretly in 1 corner... they looked absolutely delicious and we ordered 1 to try... i think it was the best decision of the moment... lolz... tasted h-e-a-v-e-n-l-y... and it's only sing dollars $0.60 with the bun as big as a bowl! the outside was crispy cause they toasted it and the bread super soft... lolz... we both drooled manz... =p superb! thumbs up!
after that we took the train to disneyland station... the train super cute! love the handrails!
then every cabin got different bronze figurines but we only managed to take pictures of a few of them... order of figurines: chip and dale, donald duck, minnie mouse, snow white for the last 2 pictures

first place we reach is main street... mostly souvenir shops, bakeries and those small small shops selling jewellery, artworks and stuff... sis went into the bakery and saw this white chocolate rice cracker and bought it because she think it's cute... we almost couldn't bear to eat it... =x
next we headed to tomorrow land...

we went on a space adventure indoor roller coaster next... super cooling during the ride due to the speed of the ride and the light effects were so good! they made u feel like u are really in space and the stars and stuff are so real! it's fast, pretty and fun!
then we went to play another shooting game where the lead character is buzz lightyear... u can rotate ur seat about with ur partner and shoot at the targets from far with laser gun... if u shoot correctly, the light will flash on ur gun and ur score will be updated on the board in front of u... fun! sis got a very high score as she aimed at all the moving targets and they are worth a lot of points!
after this, we walked towards fantasyland... on the way there, we saw this cute snow white and the 7 dwarves fountain and took photos with it...

we went into this pooh souvenir shop called pooh corner and i took quite some photos cause my favourite character is winnie the pooh! =)
next we went fantasy gardens to take photos with the cartoon charaters... got 5 of them, but we only took photos with winnie, mickey and pluto... leaving minnie donald out cause the queue too long le or they gone for breaks when we reach their porch...
next we went to a theatre to watch their golden mickey awards... very nice! but the photos not very clear cause they are moving around and it's dark inside...

after this show, we went walk around somemore and then saw this mickey philhar 3D show that seems interesting enough so we went in for the show... got water squirt here and there when the characters are on the rivers and u can smell cake when donald duck is eating a cake... super cute! sis liked it alot...
then we went on this ride called the adventures of winnie the pooh whereby u sit in a honey pot and then cruise around... lolz...
as mentioned, pooh is my fav character so took a lot dumb and bo liao photos while in queue... hehe...
next we headed to adventureland but by then, we very tired le so we nv explore that area...

after this we headed back to main street again for souvenir shopping! we spent a long time at this cause we couldn't decide what to get for ourselves and we kept going from shop to shop repeatedly... haha...

then the parade started outside and we went to watch awhile but left after 2 floats went by
then we left the place and went shopping at mongkok... took the things we bought back to hotel around 8 plus and went for a steamboat dinner at jordan with the rest around 9 plus again hehe... the soup base of the steamboat very nice! after dinner, it's shopping again for sis and me while the rest of them went back to the hotel to rest...
by this time, my legs practically no feeling cause we have been walking the whole day le... so around midnight, we went hui liu shan to rest and have dessert... their special of that day is glutinous rice balls with watermelon and mango juice + mixed fruits so i ordered that and a hashima for sis... the dessert are very nice!!! the glutinous rice balls very cute... small small chewy chewy one!

disneyland brass coins, they have these machines all over the place and each machine will let u select 3 designs to press ur coin into... so u can go explore and try to find these machines and collect those designs u like... i mostly chose winnie the pooh ones... hee
minnie mouse, her name is mei lai cause that's minnie in cantonese and the people there always speaks in cantonese and call minnie mei lai so i found it quite cute... haha~ i like her cause she's dressed in jeans and sneakers which looks adorable!
21st July 2006 Friday (Day 5)
morning went mongkok breakfast again at those cafe... chose a random one... had their maggi mee with ham, normal but a bit salty... couldn't help ordering pineapple bun again... same standard as yesterday! yummy!
next we went shopping for dried goods for my mummy cause she say boil soup good... after buying those stuff, me sis and bro-in-law went shopping while their parents went back to hotel first... bro-in-law looking for a good digital camera deal and in the end he bought a nikon s6 as it's much much cheaper than in sg... we went to prince edward and mongkok after that for last minute shopping...
found this super nice traditional bakery at prince edward and we bought a lot of stuff back to eat on the plane and bring home... went back hotel after that and checked out... felt kinda glad to leave actually cause i miss my mama and my baby darling!
we reached the airport very early cause there was no jam along the way there on a cab... after checking in, we went to eat something... sis and i had ajisen ramen and they have this delicious scallops ramen not available in sg... the scallops super sweet! after that is ben and jerry's ice cream for dessert... and then went on plane le... couldn't sleep at all on the plane cause it's the wrong time la... around 8pm... how to sleep!
reached singapore changi airport around 12 midnight and received a pleasant surprise... =)

we took cab back to my house and then i unpack a little before sending bro, sis in law and baby kylie to the airport again around 3am with my parents... they going to usa for 19 days... sad... cause surely will miss kylie a lot!
only got to sleep around 4am super tired!
and that's the end of my hong kong trip hehe... hope to visit it again soon in the near future! a eating and shopping heaven!
P.S: phew finally finished this entry, it took me a week to blog it... lolz...
