Back to update about one of my favourite festive holiday :)
Did lots of shopping on ASOS using CNY as an excuse but most of the dresses I bought are black so I didn't wear them for CNY afterall =p kinda slow to hop on the ASOS bandwagon, 1st time ordering from them this year! ^_^ and now i am hooked =x
Some of my CNY loots below!
Megagamie vest and Smooch dress - the vest is very versatile, can be matched with anything, i love the military buttons :) got the smooch dress during the sale, it's very fuss-free and it is becoming my go-to dress when i can't find anything to wear hehe. got size M for both
TVD yellow lace dress - size M slightly loose on me but comfy fit. can eat more when wearing this dress out haha my only gripe is that the yellow zip used super buay match the dress colour, very ugly. could had used a more matching zip
HVV embellished top in puce colour - love this top because the blings are so pretty!!! very good for matching with bandage skirts, shorts or work skirts. i've already worn it twice hehe
Smooch Belle dress in steel lavender - wanted black but fingers not fast enough during launch so i carted the steel lavender colour instead. blessing in disguise that i did not get it in black because this turned out to be my CNY day 1 dress haha... i realized all my new dresses from asos are black so this smooch dress is perfect for day 1 with the flower embroidery and all :)
ASOS loots:
Melissa x Vivienne Westwood heels, I haven had the chance to wear it yet though I bought it to wear for CNY, the shoebox is already collecting dust omg =x i have a super soft spot for melissa shoes, had been aiming this for the longest time and it finally went on sale on ASOS hehe.

office shutdown for CNY on eve's eve so i had the whole of Friday to slack woo! mum's lunar birthday fall on this day and we bought a durian cake for her. from the pics, can tell my niece and nephew is her 心肝宝贝 haha
after cake-cutting, went out for drinking session with the girlfriends, so fun, lianny was too garang haha! went to our usual favourite hangout - switch. seems to be my SOP on fridays liao, i am almost there every week =p
CNY eve was spent eating and gambling, i got my 1st ban ban at blackjack on cny eve yay!
our yearly tradition is to cook 盆菜 for breakfast on 初一, 1 pot of goodness woo super shiok!
CNY day 1 was visiting at grandma's house, only 1 house to go to, very good.
went home in the evening and played mahjong with the siblings and bf, bf and i lost so much money!!! :(
CNY day 2 - sentosa flowers. this year's flowers SUCK. omg it's really very bad. there were not much flowers at all and to think they even started charging entrance fee of $5 this year. last 2 years were free entry but the flowers were 100 times better.
this year, their so called summer-themed garden only got 5 sunflowers for you to look at, what is this! we bought our tourist friends there and it was so embarassing *SIGHZ* the only nice thing we saw is the sunset :) no editing done and taken using iphone, isn't it pretty? :)
CNY day 4 - river hong bao with sis and bf. this year's decor was pretty nice, we were saying maybe the sentosa flowers budget went to river hong bao instead haha. checked out our zodiac and 运程, rabbits like not too bad this year la. we also saw some wishing bells with auspicious words on them, people can toss coins at it and if they managed to hit a bell, it's supposed to bring good luck?
ANYWAYYY, we joined in for fun and was aiming for the 身体健康 bell. i keep missing it and got the bf to help me BUT he hit the 早生贵子 instead, epic FML situation. this auntie beside us was exclaiming: "wah u all will 早生贵子 leh" and smiled brightly at us. LOL i quickly siam liao
after river hongbao, we went to check out this bar called lantern at fullerton bay hotel, the view and ambience is good!!! drinks are pricier than usual bars but it's worth a visit, you get a nice view of marina bay sands and the river.
before i know it, my 6 days CNY break is gone~~~ the next PH is on 29 Mar, T_T used to be so excited about opening and counting ang pows but totally don’t feel any excitement this year. #signsofgettingold
