why have to pack table, i dun see that in my job scope -_-

and best part is i went to report loss, they say will deduct $28.50 from my allowance, as if it's not measly enough DARN IT

.::Vesak Day Long Weekend::.

vesak day long weekend is over in a whiz!

friday was spent at tamp mall for some alone shopping time after work... bought a skirt and it's totally cuteee!

saturday, went to the gym around evening with bee and wanted to head to bugis after that... but i got upset with him while travelling there and spoilt our date =x so we just took a train back to bedok 85 to have a late dinner after talking it out... = dun like to be upset at him and vice versa

he came over to my house on sunday to help me in taking photos of new stocks for missfenny but we ended up slacking the day away =x went to orchard at night to look for nice heels for work!

it was very rushed as we reached orchard at around 9 and most shops are closing soon... but i managed to get a new pair of strappy heels at mondo after visiting quite alot of stores and whee i love it!

late late dinner at xin wang and feel bad to make him eat dinner at such a late timing... anyway the food there suck nowadays and we seldom go there anymore... but that day no choice cause it's the only food outlet near us that's open till late... sighz... hate yucky food!

looks quite decent but taste-wise, bleahz



on sunday, my siblings and i went to the airport at around 3 plus to fetch my mum... she came back from hk with lotsa food! hee and of course with boxes of my favourite hk lao po bing from hang heung! yumz! she looked like she thoroughly enjoyed herself manz!

after bee visited his grandmother, we went out for a movie date around 5 plus at vivocity~

couldn't resist shopping around with all the sales going on now that GSS is just round the corner (starts tomorrow in fact) hahaha...

we watched speed racer after dinner at food republic... okay talking about food, i had always hated fried hokkien prawn mee but my dad bought it for me for my lunch 1 day as he didn't know i dun like to eat that... so okay, nvm hungry just eat... bad mistake cause since then i got addicted to that dish -_-z realized that it's not so bad afterall... lolz and now i keep having the craving to eat that... sighz!

so my point is, at food republic, there's this rather famous fried hokkien prawn mee which was really quite nice! really hope i can stop this addiction soon cause i dun wanna end up liking fried hokkien prawn mee =x okiez i am like making no sense here nvm =p

anyway, speed racer was okay la... i like the part when they started racing haha, the 1st hour of the show was boringgg in my opinion =p

wednesday lunchtime met up with bee for korean food at chevron house! it was quite good!

his chicken stew - the soup is damn nice, taste like the soup in japanese sukiyaki!

anyway internship so far was quite good... alot of events manz, had been SOOO busy with them but learning alot in the process! and of course busy with my database sai gang... -_-z

so my 1st official major event at wda was today which was held at the singapore flyer... did lots of preparation work for this media event ever since the start of my attachment last week! it's quite an important event cause alot of important people will be there as well as most media such as the newspapers, radio and tv... so glad a part of it is over! but there's a 2nd part to it next tues, more work coming up!

very tired in the morning today cause we had a dry run yesterday which ended rather late at around 9 plus 10... sighz dun even have time for dinner! then today early morning 8am have to be at the flyer again -_-z but the event today went smoothly =) it's hard work but quite a good learning experience teehee...

there is catering provided by the flyer as well and the food is darn darn nice!

this particular dish below is the ultimate winner - thin spaghetti with laksa sauce...



everything is prepared on the spot such as the twisting of the spaghetti (thinner strands than usual!) onto a small plate, adding the quail egg, prawn and laksa sauce... YUMZ can! it's such a small portion though, can finish in 1 mouthful... i think all of us took like 4 or 5 helpings and everyone is singing praises of it... it's really heavenly!

dessert buffet line - brownie, choc fudge, tiramisu and apple pie! all in mini sizes...



something special about the flyer's catering is that all their portions are damn mini and they are very particular about the buffet line presentation! just look at the little goblets of tiramisu! pretty isn't it? =)



there's other food as well which u seldom find in normal buffets but i never take photos... all the food seriously very yummy and i think it's a good place to hold a mini event! =)

hee tomorrow is friday and i seriously can't wait for the weekend!!! 2 weeks of internship down, 1/4 done, 6 weeks more... yippie~

dim sum in the morning with bee's family at imperial treasure teochew cuisine...

food was yummy... i ate 3 egg tarts, they have super super nice egg tarts!



dessert - gui ling gao (herbal jelly) and almond tofu

then we walked around with them to look for a sofa set at orchard and spent the rest of the day roaming around by ourselves... we went to sim lim square again to look at some software... then to suntec and marina for shopping before heading to national library again to photocopy stuff... read some books there and it was nice to spend some quiet time together...

had dessert at bugis street - papaya milk for him (boobs enhancing, dunno why he want this! =x) and mango sago pomelo... didn't really like mine... prefer it with thick mango juice but this had coconut milk in it which sorta made the whole taste weirddd and unauthentic... but the mangoes are ripe and sweet! =)



i can't remember what we did for the rest of the night but we did ate popeye's at singapore flyer and i shan't post photos up cause i think it looks the same as the previous popeye's photos...

we went to cine to buy our havaianas too as he had been gian-ing for it for the longest time! his brazil edition havaianas is only $10! able to get it at that price as long as u buy 1 other pair of havaianas...

haha mine is red with pretty flowers~ and the hunks at NUM (=x *ahem*) added a complimentary crystal on the strap too, so now my right havaiana is bling bling! teehee, somemore is not the stick on kind, the crystal is really punched into the strap with the help of a machine (like earrings), love it!



anyway this is the full view from my office cubicle with the HUGEEE glass panels... isn't it lovely~ merlion on the left, esplanade and floating stadium (the colourful part) at the back and the singapore flyer on the right... haha i still remember the 1st day i came, the sun was shining so brightly and the water is sparkling, pretty! it will be perfect if there isn't any construction going on (at the foreground of the pic)

well 1st week of pa over already, so fast! =) work is picking up and i've been really busy these few days... got a few projects on hand already and i get to go offsite on thursday morning! it was highly interesting and i get to learn a lot of new things... very thankful for my organization supervisor cause she's a super nice girl and keep giving me lots of opportunities to learn as much as possible!

but of course being an intern, sure got classic sai gang to do... and today i just got 1 major sai gang, was telling bee it's really 1 big lump of shit... -_- the company has a few databases from previous events and they ask me to merge all these databases into 1 master list and to re-classify and de-duplicate it... MY GOD, there's like thousands of names inside, dunno how to finish by next week manz -_-

and i brought it home to do some of it over this long weekend cause i know sure can't finish by next week as monday is a public holiday... roars but i have a feeling i won't be able to complete much at home also haha... measly pay but the workload not proportionate one lehzzz haha... but i shan't be lazy -_-

after work on thursday evening, went to meet my sis in town for shopping as miss selfridge, dorothy perkins, topshop and warehouse having private sales teehee~ bought a set of clothes for work, 1 top and 1 skirt... cheap cheap!

actually my main aim is to get a pair of comfy shoes for work cause my heels are killing me and causing me lots of blisters for this whole week! =( but i ended up not getting any shoes and ended up with apparel instead -_- nvm shall use the long weekend to source for shoes! =p

after shopping, went pasta cafe @ taka for dinner...

ever since i started pa, i slept very early every night cause super tired! i hope my dark eye circles will improve manz haha...

bee had been a sweet bf to me for my 1st week of work... =p

we will meet for breakfast or lunch whenever we can... even on days when we are not eating together, he will still make an effort to meet me around our work area for a short while whee~

when we do meet for breakfast or lunch, he will always walk me to my workplace first before he head back to his office...

when it's raining and i dun have an umbrella, he will walk over to my workplace with a big umbrella to bring me to lunch...

and 1 week of PA down 7 weeks more! can't wait for july!!!!!!

.::Professional Attachment::.

hiyaz diary...

today is the 1st day of attachment! teehee... met dearie at boon keng for breakfast and he sent me to work after that before heading to his own office... heez... feeling really excited about starting pa in the morning...

3 other smu interns are also starting their 1st day of attachment today but we are all attached to different departments... they are quite easy to talk to and quite nice people la! 2 guys 2 girls including me =) we talked in the conference room for close to an hour cause we were signing contracts, settling admin stuff and waiting for this and that...

somehow the topic of relationships came up and they are all like attached for sooo long, 7 years, 5 years, 3 and a 1/2 years when they are like only 24, 23 and 21 years old respectively... haha... looks like they are a faithful lot =)

heh 1 of them shared a research study with us which was interesting... when 2 people are in love, they will usually release endorphins when they see each other resulting in a positive mood... but research has found that after 3 years, the couple will stop producing such endorphins and from then on it will require even more effort from both parties to keep the relationship going... i wonder if it is really true? does this mean all relationships/marriages beyond 3 years will not be love anymore but a commitment? hmmm~

okiez i digress... =x

anyway went to my department after that and settled down... the office is quite nice - brightly lit with full pane glass windows and big desks... i got a desk right beside the window which has a freaking freaking awesome view... can see merlion, esplanade, fullerton hotel, one fullerton, singapore flyer and everything around there la including the waters... what more can i ask for? =D

spent the whole morning doing nothing except photocopying documents for a colleague hehe... then it was lunch with the smu interns... =)

after lunch, i totally got nothing to do as my laptop is not set up yet... so i just sat there reading publications and watching the scenic view right below... =)

the IT guy finally came around 3 plus and set up the laptop... teehee... tea break at 4pm - free biscuits and milo whee... after that read some stuff on the intranet and surfed a bit... time to knock off after that! very slack 1st day, it's not that i dun wanna do work, but i can't access the intranet drives yet so i have no access to the documents, quite boring day indeed!

.::Errands Day::.

been reallyyy busy this week with tuition cause all the kids are having their exams... glad that it's over for them and for me too =p left with thursday - sunday to PLAY before pa starts teehee~

most of my tuition ended on wednesday... =) felt so tired on this day cause gotta teach 4 students but it was all worth it at the end of the day haha~

thursday was spent running errands with the bf... i asked him to give me morning call on thurs morning as usual since he's working anyway and will be awake by that time... then when he called, he just shouted: "surprise!" hahaha stun me early in the morning, somemore i am still like groggy from sleep... turned out the surprise was he took leave to run errands with me =p

got out of bed to bathe and all that... cabbed to his house and bought lunchie for him... after eating, we set off to run our numerous errands for the day!

firstly, we headed to ubi's driving centre to register for my basic theory test! after like procrastinating for so long, i am finally going to start learning driving... i just booked the date this morning online: 21st July 2008, 2 days before i set off for hong kong! haha hopefully i can pass and go hong kong happily =p

at the driving centre, he finally took the 1st step to book his practical lessons as well... he already passed the theory tests like long ago but he keep procrastinating as well when it comes to his practical!

next up, we headed to sin ming drive which is near bishan, wanted to go to the comfort taxi company to get back his ipod as he left it on a cab last week... thank god nobody took it and the taxi driver returned it =)

was kinda lost at first cause it's at some ulu industrial estate but we managed to find it teehee~ then took the only bus there to ang mo kio hub... we ate mos burger there and bought bubble tea to get ready for the long bus ride to paya lebar's city plaza which is our next stop...

upon reaching our 3rd stop, quickly went city plaza to source for a supplier for my online shop =) found a wholesaler that was not too bad and got some stocks from there... very happy with the stocks on hand! =)

it was already 8 plus by this time but we still have not finished running our errands =x 4th stop is sim lim square and we took mrt to bugis... walked to sim lim but darn! it was all closed by 850pm... =( sadz! i need to buy some software by this weekend, so no choice but to go back maybe this sat or sun...

alrighty, after sim lim square, we are dead beat but walked back to bugis again to eat some light snacks! ate the korean chicken cutlet at parco's basement, uber filling!

last stop of the day: bedok 85! went there to satisfy my craving for pork porridge and almond ah balling~ but i was still quite full from the chicken cutlet earlier on so we skipped the pork porridge and had oyster omelette and stingray instead =D love the stingray there! and of course dessert is ah balling teehee! so hungry now when i think of all the food! =x

haha... was reallyyy tired after all the travelling but it was fun with him around =p and his ez-link decreased from $13 to $4 or $5 in that 1 day cause he got no concession~ hahaha...

today i had been a real couch potato! spent the whole afternoon at home watching tvb shows on my laptop and visiting forums for the rest of the night, read 100 pages of forums to consolidate info, tough job =p and occasionally getting things to eat... fatty bum bum is what he calls me =x

i am quite excited about pa starting next week and hopefully the 8 weeks will flash by in a zoom! and 2 more weeks after that, it's hello hk~

alrighty better stop before i get too excited, i really wanna like teleport to hk now when i think of all the food and shopping teehee~ =D new collection for clothes will be up soon! support missfenny ok! hahaha~

.::Labour Day Long Weekend::.

had a good labour day long weekend! haha 1st weekend after the exams, of course must enjoy!

thursday was labour day and i spent the 1st half of the day rotting at home and playing mahjong... then he came over my house to wait for me before we headed out together...



went to dhoby ghaut first to eat cause super hungry! we ate alot - rice ball, crepes, fried chicken etc. till we are super fulllll! teehee... then took a bus to marina square cause we are catching the movie "ironman" there... and omg the movie was so good! i love it! everything is super cool and high tech! definitely a must watch! =)

after the movie was 9 plus already and we settled for a late dinner at imperial treasure...



friday - clubbing with lianny, dearie and his friends! wheeeee~



saturday i managed to accomplish a lot of things! woke up at 11am and went to the market and ntuc for grocery shopping as i feel like cooking a meal for him as a surprise! =p

so came back and prepare the food stuff, marinating, cutting, peeling prawn shells yada yada... i managed to vacuum and mop the floor too haha!

the final result and a gleeful boy! teehee~

after eating and cleaning up, it was only 5 plus and we headed out to meet lianny and wt teehee~

went citilink's adidas to buy wt's 21st birthday prezzie!

then we met them at raffles city basement's shokudo to try out the new restaurant and to celebrate wt's 21st birthday...

basically it works just like marche la... same concept but mostly jap food! whee~ we had sashimi, unagi barbeque, ham and cheese omelette, rosti sausage, tempura prawns and sukiyaki... love the tako from the sashimi, so juicy wootz~ the rest of the food was not bad too!

for dessert, we had mango ice with ice cream and the green tea ice with red bean, mochi and chestnut... it's highly addictive!



after the nice dinner, we took a bus to orchard cine to look for havaianas! haha we are planning to buy quite a few pairs but couldn't decide on that day!

next is to E2Max to play Wii~ haha it was funny... we played the Wii Sports for an hour and i totally suck at the tennis game =x hopeless in it!

then played ghost squad with dearie for another hour while lianny and wt headed home first... ghost squad was funnnnn! but i keep dying lehz and missed alot of shots haha...



sunday went to the gym before heading to vivo for shopping... we had dinner at food republic and there was this chendol drink that's very good! yumz yumz~ didn't bought anything except some biscuits and chocolates at candy empire! simple sunday~



pa is starting next week and hence, i am making full use of this week to play play play and get my things done! i wanna cycle, source for a supplier, distribute my tuition flyers to get new students, eat pepper lunch and the ah balling and pork porridge at bedok 85... haha! hope to complete them all before pa starts! =)

mother's day this weekend, i wanna eat dim sum with dearie and his family!!! lemming for egg tarts omg~ =D
