hiyaz diary...

today went for a new tuition assignment... teach chinese... sianz la... i mean what is there to teach for chinese!!! one and a half hours somemore... i was bored out of my mind and the kid is bored too and she actually asked me to play uno cards with her... -_-~

and then i found out her mama gave birth to her when her mother is only 18... haha... and i began to think maybe giving birth at 18 is not a bad idea provided u have financial support ba... some people may say too young to take care of a child and it might be hard to raise a child up but then again, when is it ever easy to raise a child? even if give birth at 30, i believe the task of raising a child is still as difficult as a 18 year old raising a child... of course, the most obvious problem to the 18 year old mother that may not be a problem to the 30 year old mother is $$$... haha that's y i say it's only not bad a idea when u have financial support and provided ur family and your husband's family are in full support of ur decision to give birth to the baby~

but then again, if i think further and deeper, there seemed to be more important issues than money in raising a child at 18 years old... firstly, dun u have to continue your studies? i mean at 18, u can't even get a diploma cause let's say u take the shortest route possible, that is poly right after o's (provided u take the 4 year special/express course), u will have to be 19 to get ur diploma... yeah? so at 18, u are either halfway there to ur diploma or finished your a's... if u decide to get pregnant, either u show up in school(poly/university) with ur pregnant stomach or u quit school... and with just an a level cert, many say it's redundant...

secondly, which is actually linked to the first, if u do not continue your studies, will u be able to get a decent paying job to raise both u and ur baby? let's say for those lucky few who have their husbands around to share their burden, will ur husband have the ability to earn enough to support all of u or will u be willing to pitch in as well? and if so, who's gonna look after the baby?

and for those unlucky few who do not have a male partner by their side, guess they have no choice but to work to support themselves and the baby, once again, what job can u get at 18 year old with not much of a qualification?

but it's a whole different story if ur family is rich la ya... there's always the maid if all else fails...

haha i always thought that a baby is fun only when it is not your own... cause u only see their cute side... but not their wailing in the middle of the night, diaper changing, in other words, messy side of babies~ nonetheless, i guess nothing can compare to the pure joy and bliss of being a parent and hearing that famous "papa" "mama" from ur baby for the first time...

oh, anyway i dunno why i have so much to say on raising a baby! haha

okiez backz...

after that went to city hall cause meeting chingz darling after her work to go dinner and new year shopping...
